Robert Montague Renfield has a problem: he is involved in a destructive relationship, so dysfunctional that he decides to talk about it to a self-conscious group full of people with psychological and relational problems. Nothing strange so far, if it weren't for a small, "negligible" detail that Renfield left out... his messed up relationship is with Count Dracula, the father of all vampires, of whom he has been a faithful servant for years.<1 >

A Dracula who is a little battered due to an attempted elimination by some vampire hunters and who needs pure soul creatures to regain strength and power, which the poor succubus is tasked with finding.<1 >

Renfield's task is not easy to carry out, finding himself, against his will, involved in a fight against a criminal gang which will allow him to meet the upright policewoman Rebecca Quincy, who of his personal fight against the aforementioned criminals has made it his reason for living.

The new strange couple will form a dysfunctional (aridaje) alliance, helping each other in trying to solve each other's messes...even if the good Dracula he definitely has other plans.

It's not the first time that cinema has told us about the succubus/Dracula relationship. A morbid, complicated bond narrated according to the dark and gloomy atmospheres required.

Here we are not spectators of a traditional horror film, its ironic component makes Renfield a different character, linked yes to Dracula, but to the search of his independence, that he realizes that he wants more from life than just being a bug-eating servant, that he realizes all this thanks to his budding bond with Rebecca Quincy, who shows him that there is a different way to live life.

An immensely sensational Nick Cage, a Count Dracula totally and deliberately over the top, overflowing, kitsch and with an amazing look.

A fun film, excellent action scenes, overflowing splatter, but otherwise the film demands it. No false notes, fantastic cast, despite the good Nick, who steals the scene but on the other hand playing the coolest character of all time, no one could have overshadowed him.
