I don't know the video game and therefore I don't know if it is in any way faithful to it.
The series by Jonathan Nolan (already behind the success of Westworld) is however very well done and manages to alternate action, humor and twists in a plot which, as in Westworld, under the guise of luxury entertainment constitutes the criticism of an obtuse and unscrupulous capitalism.
