A good, tense and well-directed film that deals with London underworld, shady deals and Ira.
Unlike the many recent films on the genre (a la Guy Ritchie, so to speak, which I also appreciate) this one is rougher and more cutting, like its protagonist, the great Bob Hoskins, who passed away too soon.
We also glimpse a very young Pierce Brosnan, who doesn't speak any lines but has a key role in the story .
