There is no shortage of films of this type, in which a future father-in-law is very very different from the family of his future daughter-in-law. Robert De Niro is at ease and offers a casual acting in this story which, although similar to others, differs from it, especially at the beginning, due to an almost disturbing excessive accentuation of the character's Sicilian nature. Later, evidently "Americanized" enough after a suitable period as an immigrant barber, he manages to live with his future in-laws who own hotel chains. There is therefore no shortage of excesses, and sometimes he actually laughs. So a pleasant film by him.
