With “The Raid 2” Evans reaches a level of action that is practically flawless. This time too, the Uwais-Rama pairing returns as protagonists of a broader story but with very classy directorial touches. If in the first the claustrophobic atmosphere of the palace-fortress gave a strong imprint to the context of the action, this time Rama's attempt to infiltrate the gang of Bangun and his son Uco determines a film with various scenarios, with fights that represent a praise to the elegance of martial arts.
